Afternoon of May 12 2023, Professor Li Lin, Director of Laser Extreme Manufacturing Research Center at Ningbo Institute of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited Laser Base for guidance and exchange. He was warmly received by Professor Feng Aixin, Deputy Director of Laser Base, and other members of the team.
Professor Li Lin is an internationally renowned expert and top scholar in laser manufacturing technology. He was elected as a Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering in United Kingdom in 2013. During his visit, he gained a detailed understanding of the “One Body & Two Wings” operation model of laser manufacturing discipline at Wenzhou University, with Laser Base as the main platform and Laser Institute as the main battlefield. He also inspected the experimental center and provided insightful insights and guidance on the practical applications of advanced laser manufacturing technology in areas such as aerospace engine manufacturing and semiconductor chip processing.
Professor Li Lin highly praised the achievements of Laser Base in platform construction, research outcomes, and technology transfer. He expressed his hope for collaboration between both sides in technical exchanges, talent cultivation and joint research. This collaboration aims to achieve resource sharing, complementarity of advantages, promote technology transfer and industrialization, and jointly drive innovation and development in the field of laser manufacturing.
