Afternoon of March 15 2023, Qiu Shuli,Chief of Science and Technology Talent Bureau of Zhangjiagang Economic & Technological Development Zone, and Tao Jianming, Director of High Quality Development Promotion Center of Zhangjiagang Industrial Technology Research Institute of Jiangsu University, with their delegation, visited Laser Base to discuss cooperation, warmly received by Prof. Xue Wei, Foreign Academician of Russian Academy of Engineering and Director of Laser Base, Prof. Li Fengping, Deputy Director of Laser Base, and relevant team members.
Firstly, Prof. Li Fengping introduced WZU Laser Team's “One Body & Two Wings” operation mechanism of collaborative innovation and entrepreneurship with Laser Base as the main front and Laser Institute as the main battlefield, the layout of innovation chain around industrial chain, the integration of industry and education to create a dual-innovation ecology, as well as the accomplishments of 20 years’ commitment to collaborative innovation in the integration of industry, academics, research and application.
Then, accompanied by Academician Xue Wei, Director of Laser Base, delegation from Zhangjiagang Economic & Technological Development Zone and Zhangjiagang Industrial Technology Research Institute of Jiangsu University visited the experimental center of Laser Base, and learned about the applications and related achievements of laser in the fields of precision machining, paint and rust removal of complex surfaces, and surface strengthening of aviation blades.
Delegation from Zhangjiagang Economic & Technological Development Zone and Zhangjiagang Industrial Technology Research Institute of Jiangsu University spoke highly of the achievements made by WZU Laser Team, Chief Qiu Shuli and Director Tao Jianming expressed that Laser Base had shown outstanding technical strength and excellent cooperation ability, and hoped that both sides can carry out cooperation and give full play to their respective advantages to combine laser-related technologies with local industries to promote its innovation and upgrading.
