General information
Jiang Renyan received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Wuhan University of Technology in 1982 and 1985 respectively, and his doctorate from Queensland University in Australia in 1996. Before joining the laser base of Wenzhou University in October 2021, he was a professor and doctoral tutor of Changsha University of Science and Technology. In recent years, his research has focused on "Manufacturing process degradation modeling and processing parameter optimization", "Multi-criteria comprehensive performance evaluation of engineering system" and "Research on parameter estimation method of life distribution model under the condition of highly censored data".
Main professional experiences
He has worked in City University of Hong Kong, Saskatchewan University of Canada, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Toronto University of Canada for 8 years. The rest time is engaged in teaching and scientific research in Changsha University of Science and Technology.
Honors and Awards
He was selected as one of China's highly cited scholars from 2014 to 2018 in Elsevier and the top 2% scientists in the world published by Stanford University in 2020. The research on "Reliability Modeling and Maintenance Decision Theory of Complex Systems" won the second prize of Hunan Natural Science Award in 2017.
Undertake projects
Completed the national bilingual teaching demonstration course construction project of "Quality and Reliability Engineering" of the Ministry of Education, completed 4 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, and participated in 1 national key research and development plan project.
Academic appointment
Editors of the international magazines ，such as “Reliability Engineering and System Safety”, “International Journal of Reliability”, “Quality and Safety Engineering” and “International Journal of Reliability and Applications”.
Academic achievements
Published more than 230 papers, including more than 80 international magazine papers. Published five monographs. Two monographs published recently are "Decision Model of Maintenance Management" (Science Press, 2008) and "Fundamentals of Quality and Reliability Engineering" (jointly published by Science Press and Springer, 2015; Its electronic download volume ranks among the top 25% of Springer e-books for five consecutive years)
