The invention provides a laser welding system and method, and belongs to the technical field of laser welding. The laser welding system comprises a sample table, a first laser generating device, a second laser generating device, a first shutter and an optical adjusting device. A first shutter and a light adjusting device. The first shutter is arranged in the light propagation path between the first laser generating device and the operation. The first laser beam emitted by the first laser generating device is incident on the first shutter, and the first laser beam passing through the first shutter is focused to the preset working position by the light adjusting device. The second laser beam emitted by the second laser generating device is also focused at the preset position by the light adjusting device. The laser welding system and method provided by the embodiment of the invention not only realize laser welding of materials with high reflectivity and high thermal conductivity, such as copper and its alloy, but also realize welding preheating or slow cooling after welding, thus effectively reducing welding stress.
