On April 25th 2023, the "Empowering the Hardware Industry with Cutting-Edge Technology" Modern Hardware Technology Achievement Matchmaking Conference, sponsored by the People's Government of Yongkang City and organized by the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department (Talent Office), Municipal Association for Science and Technology, and Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, together with the Hardware Industry Innovation Service Complex, the Collaborative Innovation Center of Intelligent Doors (Locks), and Jinhua Zhongke Tailing,was successfully held at the Complex. Li Haofeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Yongkang Municipal Party Committee and Member of the Municipal Government Party Group, Cheng Zhen, Chairman of the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, Ye Jianyong, Party Group Secretary and Director of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Li Fengping, Executive Vice President of Wenzhou University Laser Institute, Cao Yu, Vice Director of Wenzhou University Laser Base, and more than ten experts attended the event.
At the beginning of the event, Li Haofeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Yongkang Municipal Party Committee and Member of the Municipal Government Party Group, warmly welcomed the arrival of the experts. He pointed out that the hardware industry in Yongkang is currently facing the "ceiling" of imitative innovation and the "fast track" of fission innovation, and it urgently needs the support and empowerment of high-level research institutes. Wenzhou University has strong technological reserves and rich practical experience in the fields of laser and optoelectronics, intelligent manufacturing and industrial automation, permanent magnet motors and drive control systems, equipment condition monitoring and reliability, etc., which are highly in line with the needs and pain points of the transformation and upgrading of hardware industry. It is hoped that through this event, Yongkang and Wenzhou University can further strengthen communication and connection, explore deeper cooperation space, promote mutual benefits and win-win results, and make efforts to achieve more fruitful results in bilateral cooperation.
During the conference, Li Fengping, Executive Vice President of Wenzhou University Laser Institute, delivered a special report titled "20 Years of Laser Innovation at Wenzhou University." Subsequently, the Yongkang Municipal Science and Technology Bureau signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Wenzhou University Laser Institute.
Professor Cao Yu, Professor Fang Tiehui, Professor Zhou Sijia, and Li Xiaogang gave brilliant presentations on topics such as laser surface engineering technology for complex-shaped parts, additive manufacturing technology and its applications, MEMS sensors and embedded control technology, and smart appliances and their IoT products, respectively.
In the final interactive session, companies such as Zhejiang Haersi Vacuum Vessels Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Hede Technology Co., Ltd., Xinduo Group Co., Ltd., and Yongkang Jiaxiao Welding Automation Equipment Co., Ltd., engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges with the experts on relevant technical issues.
Technological innovation is the inexhaustible driving force for enterprise development, and enterprise's technological innovation relies on the strong support of higher education institutions.
