Afternoon of January 31 2023, Zhu Yongmin, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Wenzhou Science and Technology Bureau, and his delegation visited International Science & Technology Cooperation Base for Laser Processing Robot on the construction of Zhejiang Laser Intelligent Equipment Technology Innovation Center for research, accompanied by Liu Huanbin, Chief of High-Tech Industry and Self-Innovation Zone Construction Division, Wenzhou Science and Technology Bureau. Prof. Xue Wei, Foreign Academician of Russian Academy of Engineering and Director of Laser Base, Prof. Ma Guang, Director of Laser Institute, Prof. Cao Yu, Deputy Director of Laser Base and staffs of relevant departments received them warmly.
On behalf of Laser Base, Prof. Xue Wei warmly welcomed Vice Secretary Zhu Yongmin and his delegation, then showed them around the laboratories in Laser Base, as well as the achievements in platform construction, key technology development and industrialization of Laser Base.
In the subsequent symposium, Prof. Cao Yu introduced WZU Laser Team's"One Body & Two Wings" operation mechanism of collaborative innovation and entrepreneurship with Laser Base as the main front and Laser Institute as the main battlefield, as well as the accomplishments of 20 years’ commitment to collaborative innovation in the integration of industry, academics, research and application.
Vice Secretary Zhu Yongmin spoke highly of the achievements of WZU Laser Team in team building, platform construction and talent attraction & cultivation. After that, he introduced that the construction of Zhejiang Laser Intelligent Equipment Technology Innovation Center would stand in the perspective of national strategy, cultivate enterprises in the upstream and downstream of laser field to occupy technological heights, provide technical support for enterprises development, and help promote the industrial transformation and upgrading of Wenzhou. Finally, he expressed his hope that WZU Laser Team would give full play to its strengths in the process of building the technology center and create a better innovation ecology of "WZU Laser".
