On the morning of December 7 2022, the "2022 China Yongkang China - Russia Hardware International Innovation Cooperation Forum", which was guided by Russian Academy of Engineering, Midwest Talent Development Foundation, and Zhejiang Province Science and Technology Department Foreign Experts Bureau, hosted by Yongkang Municipal People's Government with Jinhua Science and Technology Bureau, undertook by Yongkang Science and Technology Bureau and Zhongke TiLing Group, was successfully held in Yongkang. Zhou Guohui, Vice Chairman of Zhejiang Province Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, A.A.Speransky, Vice President of Russian Academy of Engineering, Han Qianjin, from Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Governance, Li Binfeng, Vice Mayor of Jinhua Municipal Government, and Zhang Xusheng, Secretary of CPC Yongkang Municipal Committee attended this forum event. Professor Xue Wei, Foreign Academician of Russian Academy of Engineering and Director of Laser Base, was invited to attend the forum and gave a keynote speech.
The theme of this forum is "Exchange Cooperation - Innovation Gathering - Win Win Development", focusing on the innovation elements of China and Russia, deepening the innovation exchange and cooperation between China and Russia, creating a new landscape of all-round, deep level and multi-faceted mutually beneficial cooperationin China and Russia, serving the integration of science technology and economic development, and promoting the innovative development of hardware industry. Professor Xue Wei gave a wonderful keynotespeech on the theme of "Laser Equipment Empowering Zhejiang Province ‘415X’ Advanced Manufacturing Clusters", demonstrating the effectiveness of WZU laser team's 20 years commitment to collaborative innovation in theintegration of industry, academic, research and application, as well as its enabling support role in the five 100 billion manufacturing clusters of robotics and CNC machine tools, high-end marine and offshore equipment, automobiles and parts, integrated circuits, and high-end medical devices equipment,also introducing the constructionof Joint Laboratory for International Cooperation on Ultrafast Laser Advanced Manufacturing byLaser Institute and Russia. The leadersin the forumspoke highly of the contributions made byWZU laser team to local industry and threw out olive branches for cooperation between university and local community.
After the meeting, AcademicianSperansky, Vice President of Russian Academy of Engineering, met with Professor Xue Wei and had a cordial exchange. Professor Xue Wei expressed his honor to be elected asForeign Academician of Russian Academy of Engineering and hoped to further cooperate with Russian Academy of Engineering in scientific research, technology transfer and talent training. AcademicianSperansky said that China -Russia cooperation had a long history, hewas very glad to see such an insightful person as Professor Xue Wei joining Russian Academy of Engineering and willing to develop deeper cooperation with Professor Xue Wei's team.
