On Wednesday, October 27th, 2021, from 15: 00 to 17: 00 pm, the laser base held the 13th mechanical-hall lecture in the conference room of the laser base on the 15th floor of Wenzhou University Science and Technology Building. Professor Ding Zhangxiong from Wuhan University of Technology and Professor Jiang Renyan from Changsha University of Science and Technology were invited as major speakers. More than 30 people, including related researchers, graduate students, of laser base and personnel from Wenzhou Mechanical Engineering Society, participated in the academic meeting which was presided over by Professor Cao Yu, who was deputy director of the base.
At the meeting, Professor Ding Zhangxiong described in detail the application of surface engineering technology in the surface protection of boiler pipes, the remanufacturing of key parts of fan blades and desulfurization devices, the repair and surface strengthening of parts such as valves and shafts with the title of "Application and development of surface engineering technology in thermal power plants", summarized the process classification of surface engineering technology, and considered that butt welding, thermal spraying and brush coating are the three most widely used process methods of surface engineering technology, while arc spraying in thermal spraying. On the other hand, Professor Jiang Renyan took "Several research topics of manufacturing quality and reliability" as the topic, put forward several key research directions in recent years, such as reliability modeling under the condition of highly censored data, multi-criteria comprehensive performance evaluation of engineering system, manufacturing quality and reliability, and analyzed their relationship with intelligent manufacturing. During the meeting, researchers, postgraduates, leaders of laser industry and two major speakers had in-depth discussions and exchanges on related academic issues.
At the end of the meeting, Professor Xue Wei summarized the academic exchange meeting, and believed that works of the two professors was closely related with the engineering application, which would promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements for laser base and raise the awareness and ability of serving local economic development to some extent.
