The invention provides a hidden additive type laser butt welding method based on beam shaping, which comprises the following steps: (1) clamping workpieces, embedding welding additives in butt welding joints of two plate workpieces to be welded, and setting the relative orientation between the laser welding joints and the workpieces, so that a double-ring composite shaping beam output by the laser welding joints vertically enters the butt welding joints of the workpieces and focuses on a focal plane; (2) turning on the laser to output the double-ring composite shaping beam, and controlling the double-ring composite shaping beam to advance along the weld direction, so that the weld area is scanned by the outer-ring Bessel laser beam, the inner-ring Gaussian laser beam and the outer-ring Bessel laser beam three times in an overlapping manner, and finally solidified to form a welded joint rich in additive metal. According to the requirements of application occasions, the invention can select additives with different material components for different plate parent materials, so as to realize welded joints with various special performances, which is beneficial to obtaining good weld microstructure and improving the performance of welded joints.
