    Research and Development of Key Technologies and Equipment for Laser Melting Deposition (LMD)3D Forming

    Major science and technology projects in Wenzhou

    Metal laser 3D printing technology mainly includes powder feeding type, powder spreading type and wire feeding type. Powder feeding laser 3D printing has the characteristics of high material utilization rate, high molding efficiency and wide structure type suitable for different products (compared with powder spreading type). Compared with wire feeding type 3D printing, it is convenient to realize quantitative control of material composition and uniform structure of molded parts, and has wide scientific research value and application prospect. At present, the application research and development of 3D printing technology at home and abroad mostly focuses on the forming of large parts in aerospace, mining metallurgy, offshore engineering and small precision parts in medical field. It is urgent to develop economical and efficient laser 3D technology and equipment for small and medium-sized parts such as 3D copying deposits, cores, inserts, etc., which are suitable for industries such as molds and hardware tools in the civil manufacturing industry.
